We are an indie-alt band from Richmond, VA with three guys and a gal. Although we prefer to write original songs, we do occasionally play covers and are influenced by bands such as, Built to Spill, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, and Arcade Fire.
Our members are Bryon Jones on guitar and vocals, John Genier on guitar and vocals, Adrianna Genier (yes, they are married, not brother and sister....this is Virginia, not West Virginia), and Aaron Garber on drums. Okay, sorry for that Wild and Wonderful West Virginia...we love you, too. Virginia is for lovers!
The four of us came together sort of serendipitously when John and Adrianna's daughter went to kindergarten and met her teacher, Aaron. They found out Aaron played drums in a band that was looking for another guitarist. John rocked out with them a few times and was soon added to the core group, which was Bryon, Aaron, and a bass player. Well, long story short, there came an opening for a bass player and Adrianna was added to the roster completing our band, Starlighter.
